A long (for its time) and Expensive Trial:


Seven of the eighteen boys who ambush Michael Farmer and Roger Mc Shane, at HIghbridge Park, were old enough to stand Trial. The younger boys were sentenced to juvenile detention centers at Warwick and Lincoln Hall

Verdict:

George Melendez was found not guilty

Leoncio DeLeon was found guilty of second degree manslaughter (5 -15 years)

John McCarthy not guilty

Charles Horton was found guilty of second degree murder (20 years - Life)

Richard Hills was found not guilty

Leroy Birch was found guilty of second degree manslaughter (7 1/2 - 15 years)

Louis Alvarez was found guilty of second degree murder. (20 years - Life)
